Hey, guys
I have a urgent problem. I try to input mesh file from ICEM (11.0) to StarCD(4.06). Exported files from ICEM include .vrt, .inp, .cel. But when I select import Grid (fromat ICEM) in starCD, it shows no cells!! And I can't display geometry or cells.

Did sobody have this problem and solve it already? Thank you so much to tell me how to handle it! Or you can sent me mail for suggestions. chriszsyjy@gmail.com

Luckly, I found how to do that. You only need to put all the files into default working folder, not your own one. That's OK!

when you run your CD,the default working dictionary will appear like this style :C:/Documents and Settings/Administrator/, and you can also change the button "SET WORKING Dictionary" as you like!

Thank you. But I still can't find it because when I launched Starcd I changed the working directory and forgot what was the default one.

Anyway, I'm not realy sure that if I even find the default working directory it will help me to import grids from ICEM to starcd4.08.

Does anybody know how to do it step by step? Or maybe you can check my actions:
1. In Icem - Output - Select solver - output solver - STAR-4, common structural solver - ANSYS.
2. Output - Write input. Then in some folder appears 4 new files, among them there is star.inp
3. In Star-cd - Grids-Import grid- format -ICEM, input file - star.inp - apply.
4. As I understand starcd reads the file star.inp - because it shows the number of cells and other options - BUT - it doesn't show the grid itself in the black window!!

I don't know what to do with it so please write if you have any ideas.

I got it now with help of kim100. He sent me a little manual about importing mesh) Thanks!
In fact I understood that the only problem is just me not knowing how to work with starcd and it's everything ok about the mesh.
