Hello everyone,

i'm a new User on Star-CD an flotherm.
After a few tutorials i got the first Job to do with the Software.
My Aim is, to get to know the temperatur distribution of a copper wire which is coverd with a PVB layer after 2ms laser radiation.

After i've fixed some small problems i lost 2 days so far, with the same Error:

ERROR 256 - GEOM - Region nr 0 specifications for wall boundary on a cell with radiation turnd on --> error writing file.
Or in console: **ERROR - CELL xxxxxxx HAS RADIATION TURNED ON, BUT HAS A WALL BOUNDARY DEFAULTED TO REGION 0
(cells all belong to celltype 2, cu)

I don't get it. On my CU (celltype 2, radiation off) there is a wall boundary (region 1), on my PVB layer (celltype 3, radiation on) is also a wall boundary (region 2), on my "laser" (celltype 4, radiation on) is also a wall boundary. For all boundarys i created patches (automatic mode).
I don't know why the tool is creating boundarys in die CU Cells (beloning to Region 0 (default)).

Has anybody got an idea whats wrong?

thx 4 helping!
