Hello everyone, I have to simulate rotating blades using Moving Reference Frame. I had opted for Polyhedral Mesh because it gives conformal mesh.
I had generated Surface mesh where all faces have quality above 0.5 and majority within 0.9 to 1 (85 to 90%, as per final face quality breakup before surface meshing module ends). I had used this mesh to generate a polyhedral mesh with Prism Layer. But the skewness near blade wall showed a range 30 to 89. The Cell Quality Remediation shows 9 negative vol cells. I have wasted nearly 12 hours or more in generating the polyhedral whereas the same count of Trimmed Mesh can be obtained in much lesser time. I think the skewness near wall is due to Prism Layers not the polyhedral mesh. I request members to provide suggestion / Best Practices for improving the mesh quality. Thanks in advance |

Since most of use don't have the gift of foresight it is impossible to help you with so little information. |

Try to reduce the difference between minimum size and target size of the cells in the reference value icon.

@JBeilke Sorry for the inconvenience I caused you @ Siara817-- I have done that already the simulation results are matching with my prediction by 97%. Thank you very much... |
