I am taking a CFD course in school and we used this tutorial to learn how to setup STAR CCM for analyzing an airfoil in 2D for transonic speeds. I was wondering how I would setup STAR CCM for supersonic flow now. I tried changing the initial velocity and mach number to those appropriate for a mach number of 2. But when I run the solution it gives me a diverging error in the AMG solver.

Any tips or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Can you please send me a tutorial on airfoil simulation on Star CCM+. Now I am working on 3D airfoil simulation.

My mail address: mahbub.me.buet@gmail.com

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I am looking to produce a similar model. Did you have any luck previously with this?

Thanks in advance,
Ben
