Hi,
I am currently performing a free surface flow simulation using StarCCM+. The main aim of the simulation is to extract the fundamental sloshing frequency, to calculate which I need the variation of mean kinetic energy with respect to time. The problem is there is no indicator for mean kinetic energy which is basically the slosh energy, the only energy indicator for the fluid as a whole I found was the turbulent kinetic energy indicator. Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated. |

Just to add to my earlier doubt,
I have referred a few papers regarding the extraction of the fundamental slosh frequency from the CFD simulations, I found that it could be extracted from both energy or force variation data, however one of the papers speculates that calculation of the fundamental slosh frequency from the average force can be a source of errors. Can anyone guide me in this regard? |
