What is the difference between STAR CCM+ and STAR CD? Which software is suitable for simulation non-conventional IC engine (law of piston motion is different than in standard engine, I will insert kinematic law from excel table or similar).
Tnx for your reply! |

You have to use STAR-CD coupled with es-ice. STAR-CD is the solver and es-ice is a platform to perform IC simulations. Get more info at cd-adapco´s website.

Tnx Vinicius, I have only few more question, is there any chance that with CCM+ make a motion of piston but with variable speed/time (not constant speed). For example rotation or translation with speed in function of time, or position in function of time that I previously calculated and inserted into a table. Where can I find tutorial for loading tables in Morpher motion...

To my knowledge, ccm allows only constant, but u can change the value after every iteration using macros.
