Hi,
How to choice the property of damping factor?
I use the morpher module in the motion of piston. The symmetry plane conditions are added in the boundaries. So the parameters of boundary value are activated, i.e. damping factor, continuity level.
My question is how to select an acceptable value of damping factor. What is the reference scale? Whether the value will alter the result?
Regarding of the user guide, the definition of damping factor is “Displacements at the boundary are damped smoothly to zero starting at the specified distance.” The value of damping factor is “distance”.

Best Regards,
