Surface repair problem

These are the first times on starccm, so forgive me if I have taken some things for granted. I have problems with the surface repair tool, I imported the fluid domain from solidworks in parasolid format. When I go to run the surface repair tool it finds me numerous problems and if I go to correct them it automatically eats a large part of the figure. How can I avoid this problem? I have tried importing the geometry in .stl format but doing so does not allow me to do a ‘split surface by patch’ to name the various surfaces.
I will be grateful if you can help me PROB.jpg PROB2.jpg |

This looks more like a problem of tesselation rather than actual errors in the surface. Try re-tesselating your part (select under parts => right click re-tesselate) and check again in surface error if the errors disappear.
If your CAD is clean, you should pass surface repair without major problems. Minor are ok and usually not a problem to the solver. |
