Hi,

I am trying to model the flow through a pilot operated poppet valve with a return line leading to a lower pressure. The inlet and outlet are roughly 1" and the return line is roughly 1/8".

The boundary conditions I'm using are as follows. A Stagnation Pressure inlet, a Pressure Outlet at the outlet with a Target Mass Flow option and a Pressure Outlet on the return line.

I have reviewed my mesh and it appears to be of sufficient quality, however, I am running into an issue with instability of my results. Both my residuals reduce but they fluctuate randomly, so do my monitored values.

If anyone could offer an idea as to what could be causing it I would appreciate it. Thank you.
