I am trying to simulate static(aircraft stationary) nozzle entrainment effect in an aircraft. For the free stream I had kept a mach number of 0.01M, and the nozzle thrust is simulated using stagnation inlet boundry condition. My mass flow rate at the inlet is converging very slowly, even after ramping up the CFL value. There observed an imbalance in the inlet mass flow rate (at the inlet of pitot)and exit mass flow rate( at the exit from aircraft bay). But when I am turning on CCA (continuity convergence accelerator )the mass flow rate is getting converged within 200 iteration(if I am staring CCA from 5000 iteration). The inlet and exit mass flow rate is obeying continuity eqn., whereas without CCA even with 10000 iteration also my mass flow rate is not getting converged. How can I get a better mass flow rate convergence without using CCA?How does CCA works in starccm+.
