Good morning, Good afternoon, and Good evening
I'm just trying to simulate melting of paraffin wax in metal foam using VOF model with implicit unsteady in 2D. I made two regions-pure paraffin region(fluid region) and paraffin with metal foam region(porous media region) and they have simple boundary condition that every wall is adiabatic except one wall with heat flux. It seems the solving process went well, but I found out that the oscilation amplitude is keep growing and finally exploded with warning message. Actually, If I simulate only pure paraffin or only porous media regions of paraffin there was no issues. So I did everything that I know and searched every manual that I used. Here is the lists 1. Making fine and uniform mesh, and also checking the mesh mating on interface. 2. Reducing time step 3. Reducing under relaxation factor of sgregated energy fluid, because before exploding, some cell exceed limitation of temperature(5000K) These things that I have already done, was actually helpful to extend the time of stable solving but it keeps exploding.(First exploded at 100s and now 500s) Can you give me advices that I can fix? I will send you some images if you are not understand. Thank you for reading and have a good day Last edited by Cheong; June 1, 2024 at 22:56. Reason: Fixing last two senteces |
