Hello,

I am currently trying to simulate an interaction between 2 fluids. It is a rocket engine and I have 2 separate inputs where I want two different liquids to enter separately and then visualise their interaction in the combustion chamber.
I am not perticuallary interested in a break up model but just how well these mix and what their velocity will be.

My Model is currently 3 parts. I have tried to simulate as one part and as 3 different parts with a new physics for each region part. They are currently connected via Interfaces but Star CCM sets these interfaces as baffles and I cant change it.

Thanks for your help

If you are not interested about the liquid-liquid interaction, I would consider running them the problem as a single phase simulation and adding a passive scalar to track the two different fluids. This will be a much simpler setup, faster to run and more robust. An alternative would be a multiphase setup where you still need only one continuum but then 2 different liquids.
This, however, is complex and you need to know what to do. Multiphase simulations are a class of its own with many different options and models.
