amc010812 is on a distinguished road
Hello,

For my research internship, I've been tasked with helping to create a Digital Twin model of a small methalox rocket engine in Star-CCM+. My part in this is designing the engine chamber simulation, including multiphase fuel injection and combustion, with simulation of the engine's Fuel Film Cooling system cooling system. Unfortunately, due to the requirement of the combustion part of the sim to use an enthalpy-based energy solver, the model must use Eulerian Multiphase, which is not compatible with Film Evaporation according to documentation. Does anyone have experience with/know a way to either program a custom physics model to implement this capability or simulate the mass transfer with field functions? Thank you!
