Nabuchadresar is on a distinguished road
Hello guys, I try a simulation over a packed bed of spherical shapes.

But I have a problem in some contact regions of these spheres in mesh generation. And it is recommended in some articles to "shrink" the spheres in these contact regions, for example, decrease by 2%. I would like to know if someone can guide me on how to do this in StarCCM, as I have only managed to decrease the entire diameter of the spheres, but that leads me to some bad results.

To be clear, I generated the spheres with DEM, exported the coordinates and radius, created the geometry with Blender, and imported it into StarCCM for simulating the airflow over these spheres.

Is it possible for StarCCM to automatically recognize these contact regions and decrease the sphere diameter by 2%?

Thanks for your attention
