Hi there,
I am experiencing some issues concerning discontinuity in the MRF region. My simulation comprises a Moving Reference Frame region within an air volume region. Beneath this MRF region, there is a solid region with a constant heat source. I initiate the simulation with a heat source set to zero to initially stabilize the flow. However, upon convergence, a discontinuity arises between the MRF and the air regions (the speed profile from one doesn't match the other). I am utilizing the models, as shown in the attached image (models for the fluid region). I've already set the interfaces as mixing-plane interfaces, and the angular velocity is 2600 RPM. If anyone has insights on this matter, please lend me a hand |

So, what I actually found out was that the mixing plane interfaces make an "average" of the MRF effects as a whole, creating a discontinuity between the air domain and the MRF domain. I hope someone finds this information useful |
