Dear all
Thanks for reading my post. I'm a newer of Starccm. I'm now using starccm to simulate the free decay test of a floating column and compare it with the experimental results. However, the numerical results seem larger than the experimental result. As seen in the following picture, the numerical results barely decrease at 10s-25s. I'm wondering if there are some issues with my numerical models. The K-w SST model was used in the present model. I started to change the turbulent intensity and viscosity ratio to see if these parameters would affect the simulation. However, the simulation results barely changed when I changed the value of intensity and ratios. And the laminar model is also compared with the present models. The results also show a very small difference. Are there any comments to improve my numerical models? results.jpg` Thanks Kind regards |
