Hi,
I am not able to get a seamlessly easy simulation running. I tried field functions, *.csv file upload and some syntax but cant make any of them work. Hope somebody can enlighten me.
There is a cylindrical steel rod with 10 cm diameter and 100cm length.
At the start of this rod (position 0 cm) the following temperature profile needs to be applied:
1) Start temp 20degC
2) For 5 sec apply temperature of 200degC
3) Then increase to 300degC for 2sec
4) Then decrease back to 200degC for another 5 sec.
5) Repeat this cycle, let’s say 10times
6) Measure the resulting temp at the 20cm position and plot it against time
(below one of many examples how I approached it)
For the temperature profile I set up an excel table (Data.csv) with Column A named “Time” and then the increments (0.1 0.2 0.3 etc.) and a Column B with “Temperature” and the steps (20 200 300 200 etc.) and load that into Tools  Table  New Table  File table  Data.csv
In Region  “related surface”  physics values  static temperature  Table(time), I chose Data.csv, Table data: column 0, Table: Time (is not highlighted but showing “time”).
First the simulation did not run at all but after restart it finally did (without changing any of the above, great already).
Now, it seems the simulation runs but stops a 2), thus when it suppose to change the temperature for the first time. I don’t seem to find anything to make it keep running beyond the 20degC mark.

Can anyone help?
