Hi Guys!
I am working on simulating a propeller using the Body force propeller method as well as the BEM method (using the SA turb model). In general, I was able to get the simulations to run with comparable results to wind tunnel data however there were a few inputs I was unsure of: 1) Regarding the disc thickness, what am I supposed to take it as? The tutorials used 0.1m as an input for that is for a marine propeller. I have the geometry of the propeller I want to replace, should I use a geometric parameter from the CAD files (Like root/tip chord etc)? 2)When specifying Thrust or torque distribution, what should my csv table be like (r/R,T or R,T or R,TC) I could not find examples of the input tables and I am given the torque and thrust distribution of my propeller by the wind tunnel so I thought it might be better to use it over the Goldstein distribution. 3)What is the inflow specification and how should I use it? I just followed the tutorial guide and used a velocity plane but I do not exactly understand what I did so I don't feel accountable for my errors. 4)Finally, I want to create a wake profile graph/scene to measure with wake rake data. Are there any tutorials on how to correctly produce such graphs/scenes? Sorry if it is a lot of questions, I just want to be able to gain a better understanding of where my errors may have originally come from. |

Hi, do you have the case set up of the implementation?
