Flip Surface Normals in Starccm+

Hello Everyone,
So I am developing Macros to run simulations on Pipes. I close the surfaces of the original Pipe Geometry using Fill Surfaces in Surface Repair & wrap the internal Fluid_Volume. Let's call these two geometries Pipe & Fluid_Volume. Then I want to create Surface Extruder Operation to extrude outlet & Inlet using the surfaces defined when closing the Pipe. There aren't enough options to properly direct this extrusion so I am using Surface normal. Now the problem is the newly created Inlet & Outlet surfaces are created with wrong direction of surface normal in some cases. Which leads to error with running Surface Extruder Operation. ERROR: orientFaces: Sidedness has an error. My Goal is to flip the surface normals for these Inlet & Outlet Faces in the Pipe. If anyone can suggest something else to effectively automate the whole operation, I'd love that too. P.S. I don't want to use the wrapped geometry for Extrusion because it creates topological errors while meshing in majority of cases. |

Never had this condition - only surfaces which haven't been "straight". Extrusion with direction worked.
Can you try negativ Extrusion? |
