Hello,
I've been modeling some explosion simulations using FLACS by Gexcon, it has been ok with some reliable results. I want to try to do the same simulation with Star CCM+ to validate its results with flacs, the problem is there are many models to choose from in star regarding flamlets and reacting flow and I can determine the convenient models the basic simulation is very simple, it consists of blowing a quantity of propane inside a closed room with a spark. Does anyone have a former experience with explosion simulation using star ccm+? Is it capable of doing so? Thanks |

Still no answer?
I was further looking into the matter but I cannot see any tutorial other than simple combustion ones. My main goal from the blast simulation is to measure pressure on the walls and the temperature of gas |

Hello, I am still interested on that. Do you know any easy way to calculte the internal pressure after an explosion? STAR-CCM+ would be ideal but I am open to other softwares
