Hi
How to monitor Velocity fluctuations during a simulation Using Starccm+? in field functions, there is no such thing and I need to obtain 2point correlation by using Velocity fluctuations Values. Regards |

The short answer is, you create what is literally called a monitor in Star. There is a longer answer..
CFD solves for velocity. You can get the two point correlations from there. There's not much difference between two point correlations of velocity versus velocity fluctuations. And if you normalize your two point correlations, they are the same anyway for both. So your issue is not really that there isn't a field function for velocity fluctuations, your issue is that you need actual real help calculating the two point correlations and that this result isn't magically gifted to you. Unfortunately, there are a ton of ways to do this which gets even further complicated. Do you even need two point correlations or are you deriving something even further from them? |
