Hi everyone,
It's my first post on this forum. I'm new to cfd and starccm+. My problem is, I am simulating a flying engin which fly at Mach number M=0.16. When I want to run the simulation with the segregated solver I got an error around the 20th iterations which say " A non-finite residual was added by star.segregatedenergy.SegregatedEnergySolver. Typical causes are overflow, underflow or a division by zero." I tried to refine/coarse the mesh, change the boundary layer or reduce the URF but nothing seems to make it better. But when I run the simulation with the coupled solver I have no problem and the simulation run fine. I have 5.6M cells and it's a fine mesh. I have read that the coupled solver is a density based one and he is more used for compressible simulation where shock are observed but it is not my case here. So if someone can help me |
