Hello everyone,
I am doing open water study with flapping foil which is similar to the fish tail fin. My foil is having three parts shown below. In this middle portion is considered as flexible other parts are rigid. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gzY...ew?usp=sharing Is it possible to achieve this using STAR-CCM ? I am trying Fluid structure Interaction simulation by solid stress model(using overset and morphing). Initially while using single overset around foil, Due to the high deformation of the middle foil, the cells are not deforming and overset region also not moving with foil. So, I split the foil into three parts and considered three overset. Now, the overset regions are moving with the foil and foil is deforming. The simulation is running for 10 iterations then negative volume cells are forming. Morphing between the overset region is not able to achieve. Sometimes gap is arising between the overset regions. Also, the deformation of the foil is changing its direction continuously while the foil is rotating in the same direction. Please help me with this problem. Thanks in advance |
