Hello there,
I investigate a mixture of two gases, more detailed there is a freejet of Hydrogen in still ambient air. I calculated the simulation and want to compare the results with some extern experimental data. Question: Is there a possibility in StarCCM+ that i can choose for example a mass-concentration of 20% H2 and StarCCM+ shows me the concentration envelope line around the jet centerline where exactly the 20% mass concentration is given in the simulation? I know the function of choosing "mass fraction H2" Displayer in the scalar scene, applied on a cut section. I can see the concentration therein form of different colors. But i want to see an concentration envelope of x% as a single shape. Thanks for your help! |

i think what you are asking for is called an iso-surface type of derived part in star - this gives a nice smooth surface of all places where say x% occur of some scalar and looks like a cloud.
another option is a threshold but this will show a subset of all the cells with some range of the scalar concentration - not a pretty but very useful in many situations. |
