Selecting surfaces with Surface Segments gives no options

I'm trying to apply surface constraints on my part with Surface Segments. When opening the surface selection dialog box, no options are listed.
I have split the geometry part up so that the surfaces I want to constrain are isolated from the rest of the part, and they are already recognized as surfaces/boundaries in the region. I'm confused why there are no eligible surfaces to constrain. Is there restrictions to what kind of surface can be selected? https://imgur.com/a/3HAtafT |

In case anybody faced the same issue, I solved this problem deleting the interfaces associated with the part surfaces that I wanted to select
