Hello,
Is there a way to refine an imported mesh using field functions? I've recently learned how to use field functions within star ccm to plot tables and refine my mesh, ie dependent on the magnitude of density gradient, however I cannot seem to find an option for this with a mesh imported in from pointwise. Is there a way to do this, or can external meshes not be altered at all within star? Many thanks, Lewis |

No, external volume meshes cannot be remeshed in this way.

You can extract Parts from imported mesh - and then mesh them with standard meshers the way you want it.
