I have simulated a the flow around a car at 20m/s and the total pressure coefficient does not reach 1 in the freestream area. Usually you see mostly red in freestream so I think I must have a setting thats incorrect but I'm unsure what it could be. Instead of being 1 its around 0.4 or 0.5.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Did you set the total pressure coefficient reference parameters correctly?

It could be several things:
1) You might be computing the total pressure coefficient incorrectly (check to make sure your reference static and dynamic pressures are correct). 2) Did you confirm that your computation is converged properly after conducting a grid refinement study? 3) Is your CFD input correct (for eg. the free stream velocity? Are you ensuring you're using the right solver etc.?) |
