Thanks for replying, Yes the file can't be opened, The comment says: "Started default macro: C:\Users\1012534\AppData\Local\CD-adapco\STAR-CCM+ 13.04.010\var\journal\star6644818832237917339.java Loading module: StarMeshing Loading module: MeshingSurfaceRepair Creating one part per imported file. Command: ExecuteMeshOperation error: Server Error" I tried to do some repair surface but in other tool (3D CAD Model), it seems like the model should be solid, but I'm not sure. Do you have any reference to repair model inside of Star CCM+ CAD model? and I have another question, Do you know if the problem related the interface (Between rotating and static domain)? Thanks before, regards, Aldias |

Hi,
you mentioned '.stl' So it is not kind of solid data.. it is just node data.. yes i tried many case of MRF simulation and multi region simulation.. hm.. so you made 2 region ? or just 1 region with error? as i understand you can not make a mesh because your second file has some geometrical problem. you shuld fix first. |

Thanks for the reply, So it means that the stl file can't be boolean substract operated right? How if .igs file? for my simulation, I made 2 boundary domain, static domain and rotate domain, but when the mesh process, it was stopped because of error of interface in rotating domain. and error says: "surface is self intersecting command: ExecuteAutoMeshOpertaion error: Server Error" Do you know how to solve this? Thanks a lot, regards, Aldi |

You can boolean your domains even though the file type is stl.
First, check your each domain that has ay kind of surface problem.. when you check surface problem, you should show 1 volume (check 2 times) Second, you should make 2 mesh continua. Third, you should match each mesh continua and region. try again! I think 2 kind of problem you may have 1. surface error 2. mesh continua matching also it is possible that : 'domain settng problem' if your rotating region is belong to main region. you have to rid of the the rotating region in main region Last edited by steve lee; May 27, 2019 at 04:44. |
