Hi everyone,
I'm something like a Newie to Starccm+ and have a question. I wanted to see the differences between the tetrahedral and the polyhedral mesh model, so I decided to choose the tetrahedral mesher in the first place. I created the mesh and it worked well. Now I changed the mesh model to polyhedral, cleared the current mesh and executed the automated mesh again. The problem is now, that starccm+ is still using the tetrahedral mesh model instead of the polyhedral one. Can anyone tell my why this issue appears and how I can fix it? It's important for me to have a polyhedral mesh applied on my current geometry. Best |

It could be that you are only looking at the 'surface mesh' rather than the 'volume mesh'.
It also could be that you missed some critical piece of the puzzle when switching. Its hard to say what you did wrong without more information. Can you post some images of your automated mesh setup? Your analysis tree? Etc? |
