Hi Everyone!
I'm trying to Model a wind turbine in STAR CCM+. I used Rhino for generating the geometry and now I want to import it in STAR but every time I try I receive Error which says an Error occurred and the result log is just created but the log file is also empty. I used all .3dm, .igs , . stp , . x_t formats but no one work for me. I checked the geometry several times and I don't think that it's the problem. I'm pretty confused. I'll be very glad to hear your advice. thanks so much. |

Since you're using rhino I assume you have solidworks. Can you open the native rhino file in solidworks? Try doing that then exporting to .stp/igs/x_t inside solidworks
Another option would be to import the .stp file into solidworks and check the body for errors. This has helped me before. If you don't have solidworks maybe try something like MeshLab, I have little experience using it so maybe someone else can help |
