Hello All,

I am looking for a way to get the associated vertices of a known pro star cell ID.

OR

The connected cell IDs for a known vertex location( probe point location)

AFAIK there is no functionality to do this. I had to do something similar in the past and ended up writing my own code to do it.

I don't belive there is way to grab the vertices since STAR-CCM+ does not really care for these but there is a way to create a cell set around a point in space and then collect the set's cell IDs into a table.

Try Representations -> Volume Mesh -> Cell Sets -> New -> Threshold. Then drop the cell set into an XYZ table (Tools -> Tables -> XYZ Internal Table) with the pro-STAR Cell Id scalar function.

Thank You for the replies !!

Yes, I also used cell sets on surface and vertex locations by importing a .vtk file as probe points.

Its a time consuming process though.
