Hi,
I'm simulating airflow over a car and want to add streamlines. I want them to be created closely around the car and not on the whole inlet of the tunnel. To do this I've created a box around the car and then a new streamline on the face of this box. However, when looking at the streamlines generated, only one single streamline is shown and it's placed along one of the sides of the tunnel, far outside of the box i created. Any idea to what could be wrong? |

In order for something to seed streamlines, it must be in the mesh or be a derived part in the mesh, so your box would have to be meshed as an interface as there's no box derived part.
However I don't think you really want to go this route. Making boxes filled with streamlines rarely produces an image that you can make sense of. I would encourage instead using line rakes and presentation grids to seed the streamlines in a specific location. |
