Hello, good afternoon.
I am simulating a swimming body in waves with the overset mesh in Star CCM+ and I want to find out angle of the swimming body. In my simulation I am interested in the rotation of the overset body around the y-axis. All other rotations are not of interest and are also blocked due to the use of a symmetric plane in the xz plane. It is not possible to document the angular motion with the report of the 6-DOF body rotation angle because the reported value is zero if there is more then one degree of freedom as the help says. In my simulation I use 3 degrees of freedom: the y-axis rotation and the the translation in x and z direction. So the question is still left for me: How is the manner to record the angle? I hope this information is enough, if you need more details, please contact me. Thank´s for your attention. Best regards. Last edited by morelix; October 14, 2018 at 18:48. |
