Hi,

I am trying to create Pictures of a Vector Scene (Line Integral Convolution with velocity) on my cluster. I wrote a macro which creates picturs (hardcopies) from my simulation. I tested it on my local computer and then I tried it on the cluster. Everthing is working great (creating surface pressure pics, creating scalar scene sectioning pics,...), but the vector scene pictures arenīt created. The folder in which they should be is just empty and the macro isnīt running forward. It is like it stopps on the point in which the first hardcopy should be created.

Does anybody know whatīs the problem?
(I have the same problem with the resampled volume pictures -> parts are in the pictures(the geometry of my parts), but the resampled volume which should be shown in scalar scene (Total Pressure) is not on the pictures - but lets first look at the problem with the vector pictures please)

Thank you!

It's my understanding that the Line Integral Convolution plots need what a graphics card provides. Mesa isn't good enough.

Thank you for your reply.

Do you know if there is any possibility to still create the LIC pics? Maybe with a smaller resolution?

No, you need graphics hardware for images like those. It's too hard to use software rendering.

It is possible to use the client-server feature to run the job on a cluster and have it render images on another node with a GPU.
