hi,
I am doing surface repair for CHT simulation in Star CCM+.
Problem is arising where I am doing surface repair. There are two regions. one is solid and one is fluid region where water flows through it. while extracting that fluid region through the solid region I have closed all free edges of the fluid region. Now as I have extracted it from the solid I got two parts as one is Solid and other is fluid.

now the problem is when I started with surface repair tool it is showing free edges at some instances and when I fill that then it shows non manifold edges as the error.

i didn't get it. what should I do for the same.

please help me!
thanking you,

Did you tried Surface Wrapper? Surface Wrapper is a pre-mesh tool that is very powerful to correct CAD geometries and will solve many of the problems of the surface!

Can you post a picture or screenshot of the problem?

How did you fix the free edges? Are the non manifold edges at the same spot where you did this?

Just need a bit more information to sort this out.

I cant post the picture. Sorry for that.
But when I fix the free edges on the head water jacket side by fill hole technique, it will show the non manifold edge on the head solid part.

Maybe you have some contacts that manual repair is detecting and reporting as non manifold edges? Without a picture it’s hard to diagnose topology problems.
