I am trying to simulate a quenching process and generate a cooling curve.
Based on the time step I select, I am getting different cooling curves. What should be the criteria to select the time step? Is there any 'nominal' time step for such problems? Plz help. P.S attaching the cooling curves as reference https://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/at...1&d=1521101252 |

Have you checked that the Courant number is about one in each simulation?
I mean, if you decrease the time-step you should decrease the mesh base size too |
