Hi All
In StarCCM+ if we want to use VOF for multiphase simulation we have to select Eulerian Multiphase as our first option and then VOF in that. But as per my understanding the equations we solve for Eulerian Multiphase is different from the VOF one (correct me if I am wrong) Is the Euler-Euler model is same as Eulerian Multiphase Model in Starccm+ or how is it ? Can some one explain me the basic level difference in Starccm+ |

In VOF all phases share a single set of transport equations and the proportion of the cell used by a phase is transported via a volume fraction. VOF also includes algorithms to accurately capture the interface between phases.
In EMP all phases have a unique set of transport equations in addition to a volume/mass fraction. |
