I have a Star CCM+ 12.02 version installed on the system I access
For a problem on Quenching simulation, I downloaded two sample simulation problems from the Steve Portal. After downloading I found out that those problems have a version of 12.04. Hence, I am unable to open those in my older version of software Is there any way to open them or are older versions of those simulation files available on the Steve Portal? The files are : "QuenchingHeatTransferExample.sim" and "TransitionBoilingExample.sim" Kindly help |

No, sim files saved in a new version are not backwards compatible.

If you have access to Steve portal then you can download a latest version their. And install latest version without uninstalling older one. And if you are using server based license you don't even have to set up license file again.
