Hello all,
I am working on a PM Motor and i am at the stage where i have to check for thermal behaviour of the end windings with the air around it as natural and forced convection condition. I would like to know that how do apply the velocity due to shaft rotation without using the rotating or moving reference frame. I just have to approximate the behaviour that is why i do not want to complicate the model. Please let me know about the best possible conditions! Thank you |

The windings don't turn, just the shaft, correct? Sounds like you just need a wall velocity BC.

Hello me3840 ,
thank you i tried with the tangential velocity in region using the rotation rate. |
