I am constructing a 2D backward-facing step analysis. The part was created in 3D-CAD. I have created a "badge for 2D meshing" and the input part for this operation is the model domain. However, when I create the operation "automated mesh (2D)" and I go to select an input part the screen is blank and gives me no options to select. Any insight on what the problem might be?
P.S. The part has a surface that is orthogonal to the z-axis, the surface was created in the xy-plane and then extruded in the z-axis direction. |

Hi Reuben,
first you have to execute the "badge for 2D meshing" (right click on Geometry --> Operations --> Badge for 2D Meshing | Execute) and if everything works fine you can select your geometry. |

I also had the problem and was confused that I haven't it one year ago. I could solve it by translating the geometry out of the z-plane , then execute "badge for 2D", translate the geometry back to the z-plane and execute "badge for 2D" again. Then it works for me.
