I would like to know what physical parameter shall I use to predict transition from laminar flow to turbulent flow? Currently, I use skin friction coefficient to predict transition of flow from laminar to turbulent. I am simulating flow over underwater vehicle at oblique angle of attack.

Also is there any parameter in StarCCM+ which will tell when the flow is separating. Flow will separate when there is negative pressure gradient. How can I find the exact point where flow will separate?

Thank you in advance

I have attached the screenshot of absolute pressure and skin friction coefficient over the barehull.
