I'm trying to calculate the volume of a spheroid in water, in order to know what the displaced mass of water is.

I've tried using a sum report, with volume as scalar function.
This calculates the volume of the liquid in the domain(surrounding water) just fine, but give me a very small value when the spheroid boundary(in Regions) is selected, maybe because the inside of the spheroid is empty in the mesh.

Can anyone tell me how I can calculate the volume of the sheroid mesh?

3d-cad has volume etc properties of bodies or you could mesh the inside of the surface and sum volume on that new region

Hello shammon,

how can I calculate the volume of water with a Scalar function?
I calculate the volume with a Sum Report with the following Field Function:
${Volume}*${VolumeFractionH2O}
is that right?
