I want to get the average velocity from the outlet of the vanes (the red line in the image attachment) while doing a thrust reverser simulation.

I think I can get it by creating a Mass Flow Averaged Report over a Plane. But in 2D Mesh simulation, I don't know how to do that. Can you please show me the way?

Thank you very much!

Not sure if this will work in 2D, but you can create a constrained plane section over that area easily.

Alternatively try a line probe.

Thank you so much for your reply. I can get velocity at each point in the line probe, but not the average velocity over that whole probe.

Can you please show me the way to get the average value of velocity over a line probe?

Thank you very much!

I doubt it will work, but you can try making a volume or surface average report on the line probe.

Otherwise getting the average is an easy matter with a little Java macro.
