Hello all,
I am currently working on Star-CCM+ version 10. i am trying to simulate combustion flow in a packed bed of limestone. This packed bed modeled using Porous Media Model( with Ergun Equation). It is turbulent flow. I am using Non premixed -EBu model and porous media material is solid CaCO3. All the flow is defined as gaseous ( fuel+ air) . But I dont know how I will define CaCO3 material or its properties. I defned region as porous and Ergun Equations. How can I define porous solid composition? If someone could give me any advise I would be appreciate. Thank you Last edited by nature_f; June 4, 2017 at 08:33. |

I was trying evaporation from porous media. But same problem arises. You can try one thing. Define CaCO3 as your DEM phase and then inject desired no of particles in your porous domain freezing flow solver. Then freeze DEM and run flow solver. Again I don't know how you have defined your reactions. So this is not full proof.
