Hello!
During our pre-processing I always have big Trouble with following Topics:
- connecting my mesh (belt merge I get is rubbish)
- Feature line detection (horrible!!!)
- data cleaning itself.

Somebody any ideas, probably workarounds?

Many thanks!

I just found MERGE by Company ESS. Anybody experience with that?

I have no idea what any of the jargon you posted means. You're going to have to give alot more detail and some pictures for us to understand.

Sorry for my poor English...

I just have problems with my preprocessing (data cleaning of mesh, belt merge and Feature line detections). the given Software of StarCCM+ is in my Point of view not good enough to generate high Quality mesh.

Nevertheless I found a fully automatic solution with MERGE by ESSteyr.com. They told me Ford in US has the same Problem and they are going to use MERGE as preprocessor for their StarCCM+ operations.

A tested stl-file showed very good results witch allowed a perfect Simulation afterwards.

This forum is not a place for you to advertise a meshing software.
