HPC: Linux vs Windows server 2016 for STAR-CCM+

Hi
I am at the cross roads at the moment where i need to decide between Linux and Windows for trampo's HPC. I am a windows guy, I haven't touched linux for more than a decade. But with Trampo, performance is paramount, so I'll adjust to what's required. Has anyone done a STAR-CCM+ scaling benchmark on a medium to large number of nodes, for windows server (2012R2 or 2016) and any flavour of Linux? Thanks Gui @ trampoCFD.com |
