hi every1
Im running a flow through pipe simulation to calculate pressure drop. I did a simulation with/without gravity function but the results are same.Does gravity affects pressure drop?? How does the gravity function acts in the software. |

Calculate each component of Bernoulli's equation and compare them for yourself in your case. Does the gravity term matter relative to the others?

Additionally Star-CCM+'s built-in gravity model only accounts for the vertical component of buoyancy effects. Further, you have to be careful when using the k-w family of turbulence models in Star-CCM+ with buoyancy driven or aided flows. It does not account for buoyancy effects in the turbulence equations for that specific family. |
