Hi all,
I'm an italian engineering student, I've just entered this community because I'm actually working on the simulation of a refrigerator prototype, in particular I need to understand the phenomenon of the heat exchange inside the "cold coil", where the cooling fluid undergoes evaporation. So in this area of my circuit (inside the pipe of the coil) a sort of multiphase simulation is needed, furthermore, the cold coil exchanges heat with a finite mass of water, which completely enclose the coil and which is not at fixed temperature, so the simulation must also understand how the transient phenomenon proceeds. Do you think it is possible? Can you help me? Thank you all Edoardo Ferrante |

Hi,
This simulation is totally possible. If you check the tutorials on multiphase flow in CCM+ documentation, you will get a good idea on how to go about it. But as a beginner I would recommend you to keep the modelling simple initially and avoid embroiling yourself in unnecessary complexities. As you gradually develop intuition add complexities. All the best. |
