I've used the XYZ internal table to export the position of the spheres created by the DEM method in the STAR CCM+. Then I rebuilt the spheres in the CAD software using the positions. However, I found that some of the spheres rebuilt in the CAD software intersected with each other. The picture is listed as following.
http://pan.baidu.com/s/1qYF4b4w Why did the spheres created by the DEM method in the STAR CCM+ intersect with each other? The STAR ccm+ file can be seen in the following link. https://pan.baidu.com/s/1miRh33U |

Sorry I dont have an answer for you (although I see it would probably have been a bit late).
I have a question that you seem to have managed to do. I too would like to export the x,y,z coordinates of the centroids for each DEM particle, but am unsure as to how to get that information and from where in Star CCM+. Would you be able to help me out by telling me how you got the cartesian coordinates? Is it through the particle track model? Thanks. |
