Dear all,
I'm working on my master thesis on a CFD application of a curtain particle receiver for CSP technology, so we have solid particles which exit from a hopper and receive solar radiation interacting also with air (entrainment). After the implementation of pure lagrangian multiphase/DEM model, we want to compare the results with a VOF coupled with DEM, so a Eulerian (for the air the VOF) -Lagrangian (particle tracking with DEM). In practice we would treat the particle like a sort of fluid. Is it possible to use both models simultaneously? Which countermeasures should be applied? I attach the selected models for my simulation (to start i assume no radiation, only flow field). Best regards |
